Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, are expected to open on a positive note on November 27, taking cues from GIFT Nifty, which was trading higher around 26,414.50. After a strong rebound by the bulls on Dalal Street, the momentum is likely to sustain, with indices poised to explore fresh highs.

On Wednesday, the market broke its three-day losing streak, with the Nifty closing above 26,200, supported by positive global sentiment and rising expectations of a potential Federal Reserve rate cut in its December policy meeting.

The 30-share benchmark index ended at 85609.51 up by 1022.5 points or by 1.21 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26205.3 up by 320.5 points or by 1.24 %.

On the global front, Equity indices in Asian, meanwhile, were trading higher, with gains led by Japan's Nikkei and South Korea's Kospi. Global equities were close to erasing their November losses, according to Bloomberg, with the MSCI All Country World Index rising for a fifth straight session.

Overnight, Wall Street extended their gains as rate cut expectations continued to drive markets higher. The S&P 500 index and tech-heavy Nasdaq closed higher by 0.69 per cent and 0.82 per cent, respectively.

On NSE Future and Options, total number of contracts traded in index futures was 146247 with a total turnover of Rs. 28959.82 Crore. Along with this total number of contracts traded in stock futures were 1035325 with a total turnover of Rs. 72268.02 Crore. Total numbers of contracts for index options were 53136623 with a total turnover of Rs. 10457219.63 Crore. and total numbers of contracts for stock options were 4248384 with a total turnover of Rs. 308324.10 Crore.

The FIIs on 26/11/2025 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 16727.76 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 233.71 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 15753.23 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 370.47 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 974.53 Crore and Rs. -136.76
