Mid-Session: Sensex down 259 points, Nifty at 22,675

Indian benchmarks indices were trading lower in the afternoon session on October 28.



At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73339.6 down by -259.07 points or by -0.35 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22676.65 down by -73.1 points or by -0.32 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 73343.45 and intraday low of 72603.57 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22691.5 and intraday low of 22497.7



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3821.00,+4.11%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 2875.45,+1.64%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4684.75,+1.42%), State Bank of India (Rs. 954.10,+0.95%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2885.45,+0.89%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1117.25,-3.85%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2443.00,-2.28%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1174.20,-2.15%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1648.00,-1.90%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1394.45,-1.52%), among others.

Auto index was at 56540.45 up by 697.93 points or by 1.25%. Exide Industries Ltd. (Rs. 356.60,+5.28%), Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (Rs. 1924.00,+3.78%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Rs. 876.00,+3.06%), Bosch Ltd. (Rs. 46850.00,+2.97%), UNO Minda Ltd. (Rs. 1107.90,+2.16%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4470 , shares advanced were 2223 while 2023 shares declined and 224 were unchanged.
