Post-Session: Sensex drops 330 points, Nifty ends at 23,329 dragged by IT stocks

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended lower on Tuesday, despite positive global market cues and easing crude oil prices. The decline was led by IT, financial and capital goods stocks.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 74529.08 down by -329.91 points or by -0.44 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23329 down by -85.3 points or by -0.36 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75038.93 and intraday low of 74423.71 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23489 and intraday low of 23285.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 341.50,+1.94%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5020.00,+1.58%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4910.00,+0.72%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 184.70,+0.60%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 327.00,+0.15%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1825.00,-1.62%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 2773.50,-1.47%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1009.00,-1.46%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1844.00,-1.28%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2106.00,-1.13%), among others.



Realty index was at 6724.02 up by 55.7 points or by 0.84%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 610.05,+2.49%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 671.35,+2.26%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1232.00,+1.52%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 617.25,+1.43%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1844.00,+1.17%),.



CGS index was at 76415.95 down by -669.32 points or by -0.87%. Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 3459.90,-5.21%), Apar Industries Ltd. (Rs. 18293.40,-3.40%), Thermax Ltd. (Rs. 3475.00,-2.96%), Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd. (Rs. 1085.55,-2.52%), ABB India Ltd. (Rs. 7127.00,-1.98%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4822 , shares advanced were 2279 while 2312 shares declined and 231 were unchanged.
