Sensex plunges 110 points; CGS, IT stocks weigh

The Nifty 50 and Sensex erased their earlier gains, dragged lower by weakness in IT stocks.



At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74748.43 down by -110.56 points or by -0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23384.45 down by -29.85 points or by -0.13 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75038.93 and intraday low of 74423.71 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23489 and intraday low of 23285.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5031.55,+1.81%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 340.75,+1.72%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4954.95,+1.64%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 184.70,+0.60%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 743.90,+0.53%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1833.00,-1.19%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1012.50,-1.12%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1029.00,-1.06%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1849.50,-0.99%), State Bank of India (Rs. 987.00,-0.90%), among others.



Realty index was at 6732.55 up by 64.23 points or by 0.96%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 608.20,+2.18%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 670.05,+2.06%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1236.10,+1.85%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1843.50,+1.14%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1950.20,+1.10%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4720 , shares advanced were 2256 while 2222 shares declined and 242 were unchanged.
