Post-Session: Sensex rises 564 points, Nifty ends at 23,414

Indian benchmark indices ended higher on Monday, with the Sensex gaining 564 points and the Nifty extending its winning streak to four sessions, supported by easing crude oil prices, fresh foreign fund inflows and positive global market cues.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 74858.99 up by 564.03 points or by 0.76 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23414.3 up by 67.9 points or by 0.29 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74987.4 and intraday low of 74454.18 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23466.8 and intraday low of 23314.8



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11108.65,+4.11%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1280.30,+3.42%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 335.00,+2.59%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4874.90,+2.49%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 267.25,+1.93%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1830.00,-1.93%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 266.90,-1.15%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1040.00,-0.97%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1788.00,-0.72%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 183.60,-0.62%), among others.



Realty index was at 6668.32 up by 112.05 points or by 1.71%. DLF Ltd. (Rs. 656.50,+4.03%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1929.05,+2.77%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1142.75,+2.48%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1818.50,+2.28%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1474.00,+1.10%),.



TECk index was at 14685.09 down by -47.35 points or by -0.32%. Tata Communications Ltd. (Rs. 1726.00,-2.64%), RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 259.50,-2.02%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1830.00,-1.93%), Vodafone Idea Ltd. (Rs. 13.84,-1.84%), Indus Towers Ltd. (Rs. 377.50,-1.69%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4967 , shares advanced were 2339 while 2371 shares declined and 257 were unchanged.
