Post-Session: Sensex slips into red after CAS, Nifty gains 75 points

Indian equity benchmarks ended mixed on Friday following the Closing Auction Session (CAS).



The 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74294.96 down by -19.63 points or by -0.03 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23346.4 up by 75.8 points or by 0.33 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74728.44 and intraday low of 74294.96 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23389.15 and intraday low of 23286.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1801.00,+3.72%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 270.00,+2.47%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 729.10,+2.26%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1866.00,+2.11%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1027.00,+1.08%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2101.00,-4.33%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4756.50,-2.11%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2405.00,-2.00%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12145.00,-1.98%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1530.70,-1.82%), among others.



CGS index was at 76861.86 up by 1181.2 points or by 1.56%. Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd. (Rs. 1050.30,+7.15%), Apar Industries Ltd. (Rs. 18873.90,+6.00%), Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Rs. 1134.00,+4.65%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3230.25,+3.98%), Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 35200.00,+3.87%),.



IT index was at 27612.54 down by -373.95 points or by -1.34%. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 723.30,-4.65%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2101.00,-4.33%), Ksolves India Ltd. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4770 , shares advanced were 2858 while 1684 shares declined and 228 were unchanged.
