Sensex surges 331 points; NSE Nifty at 23365.95

Domestic bourses continued to gain strength during the noon trading session amid buying CGS, Realty stocks.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74646.1 up by 331.51 points or by 0.45 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23365.95 up by 95.35 points or by 0.41 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74692.18 and intraday low of 74375.07 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23366.4 and intraday low of 23286.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 731.60,+2.61%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1778.55,+2.43%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4953.00,+2.04%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1033.60,+1.73%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 328.65,+1.47%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2113.10,-3.78%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12166.00,-1.81%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1042.60,-1.28%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1542.10,-1.08%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1242.60,-1.07%), among others.



CGS index was at 77017.39 up by 1336.73 points or by 1.77%. Jyoti CNC Automation Ltd. (Rs. 1051.45,+7.26%), Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 35750.00,+5.50%), Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Rs. 1137.90,+5.01%), Supreme Industries Ltd. (Rs. 3478.00,+4.38%), Apar Industries Ltd. (Rs. 18560.00,+4.24%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4668 , shares advanced were 2725 while 1702 shares declined and 241 were unchanged.
