Sensex turns flat; Eternal, InterGlobe Aviation top gainers

Indian benchmark indices pared most of their earlier gains on Thursday afternoon, with the Sensex slipping marginally into negative territory, while the Nifty continued to trade higher.



At 14:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74391.03 up by 54.58 points or by 0.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23277.7 up by 60.1 points or by 0.26 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74677.56 and intraday low of 74163.95 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23363.55 and intraday low of 23193.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 324.10,+2.30%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4845.00,+2.13%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 394.45,+2.08%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12365.00,+1.44%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 184.90,+1.12%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4852.50,-1.27%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 715.55,-0.95%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 1951.50,-0.61%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1054.70,-0.56%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1245.05,-0.49%), among others.



CGS index was at 75671.74 up by 1443.34 points or by 1.94%. HBL Engineering Ltd. (Rs. 756.15,+7.33%), Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (Rs. 2140.00,+4.79%), AIA Engineering Ltd. (Rs. 3971.00,+4.76%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 3544.10,+4.64%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (Rs. 429.00,+4.63%),.



Bankex index was at 63435.15 down by -213.45 points or by -0.34%. Federal Bank Ltd. (Rs. 335.95,-1.77%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 715.55,-0.95%), Bank of Baroda (Rs. 232.55,-0.83%), YES Bank Ltd. (Rs. 23.22,-0.68%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1352.40,-0.49%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4650 , shares advanced were 2593 while 1830 shares declined and 227 were unchanged.
