Post-Session: Sensex ends 544 pts up; Nifty above 24,750

The Nifty50 and Sensex extended their winning streak to a fourth consecutive session, supported by a sharp decline in crude oil prices amid reports of potential US-Iran talks, which boosted investor sentiment.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 78639.03 up by 544.39 points or by 0.7 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24774.3 up by 390.7 points or by 1.6 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 78895.1 and intraday low of 78497.34 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24774.3 and intraday low of 24515.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5389.00,+4.22%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2450.00,+3.57%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1170.00,+3.54%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 310.00,+2.53%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 286.30,+1.90%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1950.00,-1.98%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1951.00,-1.02%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 14104.00,-0.95%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 189.10,-0.37%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3385.50,-0.32%), among others.

IT index was at 30249.21 up by 746.92 points or by 2.53%.
