Sensex up 664 points; NSE Nifty at 24584.65

Indian benchmark indices continued to hold the morning gains, with the Nifty trading around 24,600 mark amid broad-based buying across sectors.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 78759.52 up by 664.88 points or by 0.85 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24584.65 up by 201.05 points or by 0.82 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 78895.1 and intraday low of 78497.34 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24609.5 and intraday low of 24515.15



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5391.00,+4.26%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1169.00,+3.45%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2438.65,+3.09%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2080.00,+2.49%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 309.65,+2.41%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1947.50,-2.10%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1956.20,-0.76%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 14140.20,-0.70%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1642.85,-0.53%), among others.



IT index was at 30190.59 up by 688.3 points or by 2.33%. Genesys International Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 298.30,+9.99%), LTM Ltd. (Rs. 4679.80,+7.35%), Excelsoft Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 82.90,+7.22%), Sonata Software Ltd. (Rs. 344.85,+7.06%), Rashi Peripherals Ltd. (Rs. 882.90,+5.90%),.

HCS index was at 50795.63 down by -1.39 points or by 0%.
