Sensex, Nifty flat; CGS, Realty stocks weigh

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty slipped in red on Thursday weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd, UltraTech Cement Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd, Asian Paints Ltd. among others.



At 10:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77619.84 down by -34.76 points or by -0.04 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24260.4 up by 10.2 points or by 0.04 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 77737.22 and intraday low of 77440.91 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24287.25 and intraday low of 24187.1



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1681.80,+2.28%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1180.70,+2.18%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1366.55,+1.71%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2478.50,+1.35%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3262.80,+1.23%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1669.00,-2.99%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11785.00,-1.78%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1040.65,-1.28%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2725.45,-1.22%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1902.00,-1.19%), among others.



IT index was at 30442.46 up by 523.48 points or by 1.75%. Rashi Peripherals Ltd. (Rs. 820.00,+6.45%), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 774.10,+4.30%), Digitide Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 103.85,+3.84%), Wipro Ltd. (Rs. 190.40,+3.73%), Persistent Systems Ltd. (Rs. 5675.35,+3.62%),.



CGS index was at 75046.23 down by -1089.11 points or by -1.43%. Waaree Energies Ltd. (Rs. 2590.00,-5.41%), Inox Wind Ltd. (Rs. 74.13,-3.41%), Premier Energies Ltd. (Rs. 1001.25,-3.27%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3078.00,-2.91%), Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd. (Rs. 2131.15,-2.24%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3868 , shares advanced were 1585 while 2065 shares declined and 218 were unchanged.
