Sensex trades flat, Nifty near 24,250

Indian benchmark indices traded on a subdued note during afternoon trade on Thursday, with the Sensex hovering around the flatline and the Nifty remaining above the 24,250 mark.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77696.13 up by 41.53 points or by 0.05 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24246.6 down by -3.6 points or by -0.01 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 77900.73 and intraday low of 77440.91 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24331.4 and intraday low of 24187.1



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3270.50,+1.47%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1666.50,+1.35%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1293.00,+1.33%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1024.50,+1.06%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 14072.00,+0.93%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1664.80,-3.23%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11803.30,-1.62%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 306.60,-1.54%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5217.00,-1.15%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2729.60,-1.07%), among others.



Auto index was at 61704.54 up by 644.81 points or by 1.06%. Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2255.60,+8.38%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (Rs. 757.45,+5.14%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 5301.95,+3.03%), TVS Motor Company Ltd. (Rs. 4184.50,+2.78%), Exide Industries Ltd. (Rs. 443.35,+1.78%),.
