Sensex choppy, Nifty near 24,000; HUL, BEL weigh

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading flat with negative bias during the noon trading session.



At 14:28 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76800.96 down by -34.82 points or by -0.05 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23993.35 down by -2.6 points or by -0.01 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 76988.48 and intraday low of 76705.22 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24041.15 and intraday low of 23961.95



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2401.30,+4.62%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1634.95,+3.84%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 306.45,+3.62%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1108.00,+2.68%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4844.60,+2.22%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2039.90,-6.20%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 389.25,-4.38%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 342.50,-2.32%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1424.20,-1.45%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 286.20,-0.93%), among others.



IT index was at 29256.92 up by 904.65 points or by 3.19%. Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 1678.80,+9.84%), Affle 3I Ltd. (Rs. 1616.00,+8.24%), Mastek Ltd. (Rs. 1844.65,+6.50%), InfoBeans Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 167.40,+6.25%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 590.70,+5.33%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4581 , shares advanced were 1679 while 2667 shares declined and 235 were unchanged.
