Post-Session: Sensex ends 364 points lower, Nifty at 23870

The Nifty50 and Sensex extended their losing streak to a fourth consecutive session, as rising crude oil prices triggered by renewed tensions between the US and Iran weighed on investor sentiment.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 76391.39 down by -363.66 points or by -0.47 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23869.6 down by -126.65 points or by -0.53 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 76726.66 and intraday low of 76151.98 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23990.75 and intraday low of 23807.2



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3228.70,+1.70%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2242.25,+1.51%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 286.70,+1.16%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1889.35,+0.63%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1244.85,+0.61%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1778.30,-2.26%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1039.50,-1.96%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5023.90,-1.89%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1222.95,-1.36%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1012.85,-1.22%), among others.



Auto index was at 60353.93 up by 336.17 points or by 0.56%. Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 5174.00,+3.78%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 11278.65,+2.54%), Bosch Ltd. (Rs. 42325.00,+1.90%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3228.70,+1.70%), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (Rs. 145.40,+1.25%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4640 , shares advanced were 1729 while 2708 shares declined and 203 were unchanged.
