Sensex, Nifty in red; Realty, Power stocks weigh

The Nifty50 and the Sensex extended losses as realty, bank, and financial shares weighed.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76237.06 down by -517.99 points or by -0.67 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23859.65 down by -136.6 points or by -0.57 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 76726.66 and intraday low of 76190.27 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23990.75 and intraday low of 23811.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 288.95,+1.96%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2244.00,+1.59%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3219.05,+1.40%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 382.85,+0.43%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1242.60,+0.43%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4981.35,-2.72%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1775.35,-2.42%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1038.80,-2.02%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1220.60,-1.54%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1011.00,-1.40%), among others.

Auto index was at 60263.39 up by 245.63 points or by 0.41%. Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 5168.00,+3.66%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 11242.45,+2.21%), Bosch Ltd. (Rs. 42220.00,+1.64%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3219.05,+1.40%), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (Rs. 145.20,+1.11%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4519 , shares advanced were 1662 while 2639 shares declined and 217 were unchanged.
