Sensex trades flat, Nifty near 24,100

The benchmark indices, Nifty50 and Sensex, were trading marginally lower as global market sentiment weakened following the US Federal Reserve's hawkish stance while keeping interest rates unchanged.



At 9:32 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 77150.37 down by -5.25 points or by -0.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24082.65 down by -3.05 points or by -0.01 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 77281.83 and intraday low of 77044.39 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24133.35 and intraday low of 24058.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Trent Ltd. (Rs. 3142.00,+1.30%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 424.60,+1.14%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 792.75,+0.76%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4233.60,+0.63%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3148.40,+0.49%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1130.00,-2.43%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1438.95,-1.58%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1151.25,-1.30%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2194.00,-1.29%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1327.10,-0.41%), among others.

Realty index was at 6403.08 up by 43.29 points or by 0.68%. DLF Ltd. (Rs. 631.70,+1.32%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1432.55,+1.28%), Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 64.85,+1.11%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 536.15,+1.01%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 921.00,+0.72%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3295 , shares advanced were 2063 while 1052 shares declined and 180 were unchanged.
