Post-Session: Markets end with strong gains as global optimism lifts sentiment

Indian equity benchmarks witnessed a robust rally on Friday, with the Sensex soaring 1,695.40 points and the Nifty 50 advancing nearly 2%, supported by strong global market cues and a sharp fall in crude oil prices.



Investor sentiment improved significantly after geopolitical concerns eased, leading to a broad-based rally across sectors. Banking, financial, auto, and other heavyweight stocks attracted strong buying interest, helping benchmark indices post substantial gains.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 75527.95 up by 1695.4 points or by 2.3 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23622.9 up by 461.3 points or by 1.99 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75608.02 and intraday low of 74453.39 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23645.35 and intraday low of 23313.9



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 918.65,+5.56%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4050.20,+4.94%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4708.65,+4.59%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4187.05,+4.03%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 772.40,+3.73%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1432.00,-2.24%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 285.00,-0.58%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 197.85,-0.08%), among others.



Realty index was at 6010.5 up by 206.22 points or by 3.55%. Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1340.00,+5.21%), Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 59.12,+4.71%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 678.50,+4.63%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1689.70,+4.27%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 587.15,+4.24%),.



IT index was at 27167.9 down by 106.6 points or by 0.39%. Genesys International Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 316.10,-4.60%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1432.00,-2.24%), Coforge Ltd. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4713 , shares advanced were 3390 while 1124 shares declined and 199 were unchanged.
