Indian equities extended their rally, with the Nifty50 reclaiming the 24,000 mark for the first time since May 8, 2026. Broader market sentiment remained positive as all sectoral indices traded in the green, led by gains in realty, oil & gas, auto, PSU banks and private banks, which advanced 1–2 per cent.
The broader markets also witnessed buying interest, with the Nifty Midcap index rising 0.8 per cent, while the Smallcap index gained 1 per cent.
At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 6446.28 up by 1030.93 points or by 1.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23996 up by 276.7 points or by 1.17 %.
