Sensex, Nifty firm; Bharat Electronics, IndiGo top gainers

Indian benchmark indices started the day in green, tracking gains in global equities on hope for peace between the US and Iran.



At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75558.01 up by 239.62 points or by 0.32 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23758.1 up by 99.1 points or by 0.42 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75945.79 and intraday low of 75475.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23859.9 and intraday low of 23750.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 424.95,+2.79%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4369.15,+2.48%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 209.60,+1.23%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2628.00,+1.12%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 245.85,+1.05%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1188.45,-0.70%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 921.05,-0.30%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4095.85,-0.24%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1768.60,-0.21%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1356.95,-0.21%), among others.



CGS index was at 78621.81 up by 1343.33 points or by 1.74%. Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 32539.95,+7.85%), Data Patterns (India) Ltd. (Rs. 3999.30,+4.32%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3580.00,+3.49%), Thermax Ltd. (Rs. 4545.00,+2.93%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 36504.15,+2.84%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3411 , shares advanced were 2511 while 740 shares declined and 160 were unchanged.
