Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty extended their gains for a second consecutive session on Wednesday, rising by up to 2%.
The rally was driven by a sharp decline in crude oil prices and positive signals from Asian markets, as hopes of easing tensions in the West Asia conflict improved overall investor sentiment.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 75273.45 up by 1205 points or by 1.63 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23306.45 up by 394.05 points or by 1.72 %.
