Mid-Session: Sensex surges 1663 points; NSE Nifty at 23441.4

Domestic bourses continued to extend growth as investor sentiment improved after US President Donald Trump reiterated that the discussion to put an end to war in the Middle East is on.



At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75731.87 up by 1663.42 points or by 2.25 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23441.4 up by 529 points or by 2.31 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75795.46 and intraday low of 74550.47 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23447.75 and intraday low of 23063.2



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4088.10,+4.78%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 3515.95,+4.46%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3144.90,+3.70%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 881.25,+3.68%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 792.60,+3.59%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1423.25,-0.67%), among others.

CDS index was at 55454.39 up by 2112.06 points or by 3.96%. Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. (Rs. 394.55,+6.15%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4096.25,+4.98%), Amber Enterprises India Ltd. (Rs. 6769.00,+4.90%), Blue Star Ltd. (Rs. 1742.75,+4.63%), Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 1356.10,+4.19%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4495 , shares advanced were 3389 while 899 shares declined and 207 were unchanged.
