Stock markets slip in red; Realty, Oil &Gas stocks weigh

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty pared all the early gains and slipped in red during the morning deals.



At 10:45 hours, teh 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74243.21 down by -320.71 points or by -0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23024.95 down by -126.15 points or by -0.54 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74983.29 and intraday low of 74158.17 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23284.65 and intraday low of 23024.45



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 10935.40,+3.10%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 825.25,+1.01%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 184.75,+0.74%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 303.60,+0.70%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4181.30,+0.57%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 426.85,-2.90%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 293.35,-2.44%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2908.55,-1.45%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1231.55,-1.36%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2378.15,-1.33%), among others.



FMCG index was at 17569.03 up by -4.03 points or by -0.02%. Zydus Wellness Ltd. (Rs. 414.30,+2.59%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd. (Rs. 198.85,+1.82%), CCL Products India Ltd. (Rs. 1039.60,+1.47%), Cupid Ltd. (Rs. 77.30,+1.31%), Varun Beverages Ltd. (Rs. 406.60,+1.31%),.



Realty index was at 5355.13 down by -166.08 points or by -3.01%. Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1229.00,-4.67%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1207.40,-3.86%), Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 50.60,-3.84%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 434.00,-3.53%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 837.00,-3.41%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4243 , shares advanced were 1038 while 2975 shares declined and 230 were unchanged.
