Mid-Session: Sensex down 313 points; Eternal, APSEZ top losers

Indian benchmark indices continued to trade lower during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Eternal Ltd.Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. InterGlobe Aviation Ltd.Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd Axis Bank Ltd among others.



At 12:55 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81994.08 down by -313.29 points or by -0.38 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25223.05 down by -66.85 points or by -0.26 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82516.27 and intraday low of 81947.52 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25347.95 and intraday low of 25183.65



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2765.80,+2.32%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2430.00,+1.67%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3186.00,+1.10%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1706.40,+1.09%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4053.00,+0.85%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 262.40,-4.93%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1355.20,-4.15%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4730.35,-3.73%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 254.00,-2.14%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1271.15,-1.87%), among others.



CDS index was at 57497.72 up by 397.72 points or by 0.7%. Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2764.75,+2.28%), Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 1315.15,+1.72%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4052.00,+0.83%), Blue Star Ltd. (Rs. 1716.40,+0.27%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4291 , shares advanced were 1571 while 2513 shares declined and 207 were unchanged.
