Post-Session: Sensex rises 398 pts; Nifty at 25,290 as geopolitical tensions ease

Indian equities ended higher on Thursday, snapping a three-day losing streak, as strong global cues and easing geopolitical tensions boosted market sentiment.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 82307.37 up by 397.74 points or by 0.49 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25289.9 up by 132.4 points or by 0.53 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82783.18 and intraday low of 81874.39 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25435.75 and intraday low of 25168.5



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 189.30,+2.69%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1413.90,+2.57%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1048.25,+1.95%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1305.90,+1.82%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1993.80,+1.73%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 276.00,-2.61%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4018.80,-1.50%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 902.50,-0.55%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1345.65,-0.21%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1401.80,-0.15%), among others.



_CGS index was at 63102.4 up by 1255.46 points or by 2.03%. Waaree Energies Ltd. (Rs. 2640.25,+9.29%), Astral Ltd. (Rs. 1422.15,+5.54%), Supreme Industries Ltd. (Rs. 3484.90,+4.06%), Premier Energies Ltd. (Rs. 738.65,+3.98%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 2651.60,+3.87%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4562 , shares advanced were 3013 while 1380 shares declined and 169 were unchanged.
