Sensex up 316 points; APSEZ, Tata Steel top gainers

Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty jumped 1 per cent in early trade on Thursday, led by advances in PSU banks, Services and Auto stocks as global sentiment improved after easing geopolitical trade tensions, lifting the investor sentiment.



At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82225.87 up by 316.24 points or by 0.39 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25310.85 up by 153.35 points or by 0.61 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82783.18 and intraday low of 82118.22 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25435.75 and intraday low of 25245.25



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1414.15,+2.59%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 188.70,+2.36%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1046.10,+1.75%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1636.75,+1.50%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2693.05,+1.24%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 894.70,-1.41%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1343.40,-0.37%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 917.95,-0.24%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 282.90,-0.18%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1401.60,-0.16%), among others.



CGS index was at 62715.71 up by 868.77 points or by 1.4%. Waaree Energies Ltd. (Rs. 2590.60,+7.24%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 2661.75,+4.27%), Apar Industries Ltd. (Rs. 7224.00,+3.79%), Supreme Industries Ltd. (Rs. 3445.80,+2.90%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 412.80,+2.56%),.



Realty index was at 6135.34 down by -7.02 points or by -0.11%. Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 968.85,-1.19%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1425.10,-1.05%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1487.20,-1.02%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 612.95,-0.79%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4080 , shares advanced were 2852 while 1051 shares declined and 177 were unchanged.
