Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty closed lower on Monday, dragged by sharp declines in heavyweight stocks such as Reliance Industries, Eternal, and ICICI Bank, amid rising global tariff concerns.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 83246.18 down by -324.17 points or by -0.39 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25585.5 down by -108.85 points or by -0.42 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 83539.93 and intraday low of 82898.31 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25653.3 and intraday low of 25494.35
