Sensex down 248 points; RIL, Eternal top losers

Domestic bourses continued to trade lower during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including Reliance Industries Ltd, Eternal Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. among others.



At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83322.21 down by -248.14 points or by -0.3 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25590.3 down by -104.05 points or by -0.4 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83539.93 and intraday low of 82898.31 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25653.3 and intraday low of 25494.35



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4942.00,+4.29%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1729.95,+3.56%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 428.40,+2.43%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2414.95,+2.34%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16182.35,+2.05%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1412.90,-3.07%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 280.50,-2.45%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1382.50,-2.06%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3163.45,-1.35%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1402.95,-1.30%), among others.



FMCG index was at 19181.21 up by 110.35 points or by 0.58%. Hatsun Agro Products Ltd. (Rs. 969.00,+5.22%), Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd. (Rs. 2172.90,+3.37%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2416.00,+2.39%), CCL Products India Ltd. (Rs. 989.55,+1.97%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 334.20,+1.50%),.



Realty index was at 6505.89 down by -142.29 points or by -2.14%. Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1794.00,-5.03%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 807.00,-3.66%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1042.05,-2.66%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1488.60,-2.51%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 639.00,-1.64%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4587 , shares advanced were 1275 while 3086 shares declined and 226 were unchanged.
