Stock markets in red dragged by blue-chips Reliance, ICICI Bank

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower on Monday, weighed down by heavy selling in Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank. Investor sentiment remained cautious amid continued foreign fund outflows and lingering global tariff uncertainties.



At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82952.76 down by -617.59 points or by -0.74 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25509.8 down by -184.55 points or by -0.72 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83539.93 and intraday low of 82898.31 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25653.3 and intraday low of 25496.25



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4920.00,+3.83%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1727.90,+3.43%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16057.00,+1.26%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 961.40,+1.15%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2386.05,+1.12%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1409.00,-3.33%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1367.60,-3.12%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 282.00,-1.93%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1408.55,-0.91%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3821.30,-0.90%), among others.



CGS index was at 64242.24 up by 289.79 points or by 0.45%. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 598.40,+6.51%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 16750.00,+3.23%), Polycab India Ltd. (Rs. 7340.45,+2.94%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (Rs. 4484.25,+1.25%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 2646.80,+0.97%),.



Realty index was at 6536.03 down by -112.15 points or by -1.69%. Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1811.80,-4.08%), Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 64.71,-2.03%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 821.15,-1.98%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 541.90,-1.77%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1636.40,-1.68%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4192 , shares advanced were 1300 while 2633 shares declined and 259 were unchanged.
