Sensex surges 200 points; NSE Nifty at 25971.05

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading higher on amid sustained buying by domestic institutional investors.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84875.49 up by 200.41 points or by 0.24 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25971.05 up by 32.2 points or by 0.12 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84929.46 and intraday low of 84705.57 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25971.05 and intraday low of 25971.05



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 179.80,+2.30%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4051.85,+1.96%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 264.55,+1.63%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 329.10,+1.31%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16781.50,+1.07%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3215.95,-0.97%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2022.15,-0.72%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1613.00,-0.70%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1594.15,-0.66%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 983.30,-0.61%), among others.
