Mid-Session: Sensex down 118 pts; Realty, chemical shares drag

Stock markets in India were trading with losses amid selling seen in stocks including Eternal Ltd, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, Bajaj Finserv Ltd, UltraTech Cement Ltd, Infosys Ltd.among others.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84577.1 down by -118.44 points or by -0.14 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25885.9 down by -56.2 points or by -0.22 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84802.64 and intraday low of 84470.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25975.85 and intraday low of 25878



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1247.70,+1.27%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3633.50,+1.16%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 173.60,+0.78%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2096.75,+0.73%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1462.95,+0.60%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 277.05,-2.09%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5000.00,-1.68%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1986.10,-1.27%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11690.00,-0.91%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1634.00,-0.70%), among others.



Metal index was at 35939.04 up by 368.7 points or by 1.04%. National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Rs. 309.30,+2.83%), Steel Authority of India (SAIL) Ltd. (Rs. 137.70,+2.65%), Jindal Stainless Ltd. (Rs. 815.45,+2.57%), NMDC Ltd. (Rs. 82.78,+2.40%), Jindal Steel Ltd. (Rs. 1011.00,+2.10%),.



Realty index was at 6726.33 down by -72.7 points or by -1.07%. Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1559.60,-1.77%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1642.95,-1.57%), Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 527.00,-1.53%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 678.70,-1.43%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1977.00,-1.01%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4292 , shares advanced were 1711 while 2377 shares declined and 204 were unchanged.
