Post-Session: Sensex ends 367 pts lower on foreign fund outflows

The benchmark BSE Sensex dropped by 367 points on Friday, marking its third consecutive day of losses, amid foreign fund outflows and a lack of major domestic triggers.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 85041.45 down by -367.25 points or by -0.43 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26042.3 down by -99.8 points or by -0.38 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85378.51 and intraday low of 84937.82 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26144.2 and intraday low of 26008.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3991.65,+2.13%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1268.40,+0.76%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 324.05,+0.45%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11794.90,+0.29%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2285.55,+0.12%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 999.80,-1.48%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2746.20,-1.41%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3279.80,-1.22%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 281.60,-1.12%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1719.20,-1.05%), among others.



Metal index was at 35658.63 up by 166.33 points or by 0.47%. National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Rs. 306.90,+3.89%), Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Rs. 636.75,+1.90%), APL Apollo Tubes Ltd. (Rs. 1887.95,+1.66%), NMDC Ltd. (Rs. 82.63,+1.51%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 872.80,+1.00%),.



IT index was at 37420.39 down by -336.56 points or by -0.89%. Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 1673.25,-3.70%), Genesys International Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 439.40,-3.41%), BLS E-Services Ltd. (Rs. 207.70,-3.35%), Cigniti Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1655.50,-2.82%), Subex Ltd. (Rs. 11.43,-2.81%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4560 , shares advanced were 1866 while 2500 shares declined and 194 were unchanged.
