Stock markets trade lower; TECK, IT stocks weigh

Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Friday amid foreign fund outflows as sentiment remained fragile amid low trading volumes and lack of any major domestic cues.



At 11:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85123.56 down by -285.14 points or by -0.33 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26064.5 down by -77.6 points or by -0.3 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85378.51 and intraday low of 85116.65 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26144.2 and intraday low of 26063.1



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3960.55,+1.33%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 325.20,+0.81%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 854.35,+0.72%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11828.70,+0.58%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1264.45,+0.44%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1709.95,-1.59%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1612.10,-1.16%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 168.20,-1.06%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1657.50,-1.04%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3287.25,-1.00%), among others.



PSU index was at 20344.34 up by 159.25 points or by 0.79%. Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (Rs. 391.90,+13.36%), MMTC Ltd. (Rs. 64.38,+11.95%), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 132.40,+9.02%), Ircon International Ltd. (Rs. 184.70,+8.30%), Hindustan Copper Ltd. (Rs. 463.50,+6.19%),.



TECk index was at 18813.67 down by -125.24 points or by -0.66%. Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 1689.00,-2.79%), PVR INOX Ltd. (Rs. 1002.20,-2.30%), Hughes Ispat Ltd. (Rs. 50.19,-1.53%), LTIMindtree Ltd. (Rs. 6075.45,-1.39%), MphasiS Ltd. (Rs. 2856.00,-1.25%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4190 , shares advanced were 1892 while 2099 shares declined and 199 were unchanged.
