Stock markets trade higher; Realty, CGS stocks support

Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty rallied on Wednesday, tracking a positive trend in global markets and consistent buying by domestic institutional investors.



At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85578.33 up by 53.49 points or by 0.06 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26230.95 up by 53.8 points or by 0.21 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85738.18 and intraday low of 85386.54 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26236.4 and intraday low of 26141.4



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1035.70,+2.40%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16680.00,+0.62%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 325.00,+0.56%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 853.15,+0.52%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1230.30,+0.46%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1735.10,-1.15%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2794.55,-0.49%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1661.20,-0.41%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 5135.50,-0.37%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2294.10,-0.32%), among others.



Realty index was at 6898.85 up by 42.47 points or by 0.62%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 564.80,+1.20%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1863.50,+1.15%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1678.70,+1.05%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2036.90,+0.89%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 697.30,+0.48%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4007 , shares advanced were 2165 while 1626 shares declined and 216 were unchanged.
