Mid-Session: Sensex trades flat; Nifty tests 26,200

Indian equity benchmark indices traded flat on after two sessions of gains, as selling in information technology (IT) and realty stocks offset upbeat global cues.



At 12:55 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85579.27 up by 11.79 points or by 0.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26186.55 up by 14.15 points or by 0.05 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85704.93 and intraday low of 85342.99 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26206.55 and intraday low of 26119.05



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11711.00,+1.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 268.20,+1.21%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 324.20,+1.06%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 170.75,+0.95%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1681.80,+0.71%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1667.10,-1.34%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2125.35,-1.02%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 849.00,-0.88%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 285.00,-0.63%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1499.05,-0.62%), among others.

PSU index was at 20282.01 up by 184.62 points or by 0.92%. Ircon International Ltd. (Rs. 172.60,+10.01%), IFCI Ltd. (Rs. 52.71,+6.64%), KIOCL Ltd. (Rs. 364.85,+6.46%), Rites Ltd. (Rs. 246.00,+5.74%), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 122.90,+5.04%),.



TECk index was at 18994.87 down by -138.16 points or by -0.72%. Coforge Ltd. (Rs. 1781.80,-4.62%), PVR INOX Ltd. (Rs. 1030.70,-1.49%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1667.10,-1.34%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2125.35,-1.02%), ITI Ltd. (Rs. 310.10,-0.89%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4333 , shares advanced were 2341 while 1775 shares declined and 217 were unchanged.
