Indian equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty, ended lower on Tuesday, slipping from the fresh record highs hit in the previous session. The decline came as profit-booking intensified and foreign investor selling added pressure on the indices.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 85138.27 down by -503.63 points or by -0.59 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26032.2 down by -143.55 points or by -0.55 %.
