Mid-Session: Sensex down 472 points, all sectors in red except PSBs

The Indian benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 were trading lower today amid broad-based selling in index heavyweights including Bharti Airtel Ltd, Bajaj Finance LtdPower Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Bajaj Finserv Ltd. and Infosys Ltd among others.



At 12:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84524.62 down by -472.51 points or by -0.56 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25920.45 down by -133.45 points or by -0.51 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 84906.95 and intraday low of 84467.03 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26032.05 and intraday low of 25892.25



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4000.45,+1.23%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16246.00,+0.63%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12060.35,+0.51%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1459.85,+0.36%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3758.00,+0.28%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2062.00,-1.83%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1047.50,-1.46%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 291.80,-1.37%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2111.55,-1.17%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1494.00,-1.11%), among others.



Oil&Gas index was at 28592.84 up by 71.09 points or by 0.25%. Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 432.35,+2.73%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 357.55,+2.69%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 163.75,+0.46%), Adani Total Gas Ltd. (Rs. 636.15,+0.26%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 469.25,+0.19%),.



TECk index was at 17686.04 down by -198.92 points or by -1.11%. Indus Towers Ltd. (Rs. 367.75,-3.52%), HFCL Ltd. (Rs. 75.12,-2.68%), Bharti Hexacom Ltd. (Rs. 1879.90,-2.45%), Route Mobile Ltd. (Rs. 723.00,-1.97%), Sun TV Network Ltd. (Rs. 566.20,-1.89%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4314 , shares advanced were 1800 while 2285 shares declined and 229 were unchanged.
