Sensex off day's high, up 380 pts; NSE Nifty at 25980.95

Indian benchmark indices were trading higher during the late noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Infosys Ltd HCL Technologies Ltd. Tata Consultancy Services LtdAxis Bank Ltd. Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.among others.



At 14:45 hours,the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84808.71 up by 382.37 points or by 0.45 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25980.95 up by 112.35 points or by 0.43 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85290.06 and intraday low of 84659.36 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26104.2 and intraday low of 25925.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1535.50,+4.31%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1532.45,+3.00%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3080.40,+2.43%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1264.00,+2.27%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2235.90,+1.82%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 328.20,-2.91%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1364.95,-1.25%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2019.20,-1.18%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1274.10,-0.98%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 12226.10,-0.98%), among others.



IT index was at 35500.67 up by 936.13 points or by 2.71%. Birlasoft Ltd. (Rs. 377.90,+7.65%), Mastek Ltd. (Rs. 2178.00,+5.57%), Vakrangee Ltd. (Rs. 8.75,+4.54%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1535.55,+4.32%), Sonata Software Ltd. (Rs. 378.90,+4.22%),.



HCS index was at 45340.45 down by -90.69 points or by -0.2%. Fortis Healthcare Ltd. (Rs. 1053.95,-3.95%), Jupiter Life Line Hospitals Ltd. (Rs. 1500.90,-3.87%), Acutaas Chemicals Ltd. (Rs. 1729.00,-3.24%), SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Rs. 281.25,-2.78%), RPG Life Sciences Ltd. (Rs. 2355.00,-2.38%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4540 , shares advanced were 2075 while 2301 shares declined and 164 were unchanged.
