Mid-Session: Sensex gains 564 pts; Nifty above 25,450; Realty, FMCG shares shine

Domestic bourses continued to trade higher during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Nestle India Ltd. Titan Company Ltd.Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. Axis Bank Ltd and Tata Motors Ltd among others.



At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83169.81 up by 564.38 points or by 0.68 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25479.05 up by 155.5 points or by 0.61 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 83184.19 and intraday low of 82791.35 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25486 and intraday low of 25376.85



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1263.30,+3.42%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3633.75,+2.39%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1479.25,+1.97%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1190.90,+1.87%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 397.65,+1.77%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1468.85,-0.34%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1650.00,-0.24%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2962.10,-0.23%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 354.35,-0.06%), among others.



Realty index was at 7222.12 up by 111.01 points or by 1.56%. Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1676.60,+4.73%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2192.95,+2.72%), Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. (Rs. 1061.55,+1.68%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1189.00,+1.44%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 766.50,+1.38%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4291 , shares advanced were 2410 while 1695 shares declined and 186 were unchanged.
