Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading higher on Thursday propelled by buying in IT stocks after the US Federal Reserve cut its key interest rate by 25 basis points and signaled the possibility of two additional rate reduction this year.
At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83014.12 up by 320.41 points or by 0.39 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25423.6 up by 93.35 points or by 0.37 %.
