Post-Session: Sensex jumps 595 pts; NSE Nifty at 25239.1

Stock markets rebounded on Tuesday, with the benchmark Sensex climbing nearly 595 points, amid hopes of a positive outcome from the India-US trade talks.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 82380.69 up by 594.95 points or by 0.73 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25239.1 up by 169.9 points or by 0.68 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82443.48 and intraday low of 81779.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25261.4 and intraday low of 25070.45



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2021.40,+2.55%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3667.15,+2.28%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3607.55,+2.22%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15566.95,+1.99%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1939.85,+1.85%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2480.50,-0.87%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1203.45,-0.70%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1003.05,-0.69%), among others.



Auto index was at 60624.37 up by 855.81 points or by 1.43%. Sundram Fasteners Ltd. (Rs. 1057.00,+4.31%), Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2470.00,+2.67%), MRF Ltd. (Rs. 150970.20,+2.44%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3607.55,+2.22%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (Rs. 6950.00,+2.20%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4518 , shares advanced were 2643 while 1659 shares declined and 216 were unchanged.
