Sensex Nifty trade higher tracking rally in global peers

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty traded higher on Friday, mirroring gains in global markets amid growing expectations of a US Federal Reserve interest rate cut next week.



At 10:25 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81772.99 up by 224.26 points or by 0.28 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25074.7 up by 69.2 points or by 0.28 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 81836.66 and intraday low of 81641.38 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25089.75 and intraday low of 25038.05



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15310.00,+1.42%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1529.95,+1.35%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 981.90,+1.21%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1099.90,+1.14%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3579.20,+1.13%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2592.05,-1.12%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1211.70,-0.70%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 326.10,-0.59%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 964.45,-0.38%), State Bank of India (Rs. 821.65,-0.26%), among others.



CGS index was at 69166.29 up by 678.63 points or by 0.99%. Bharat Dynamics Ltd. (Rs. 1526.00,+3.04%), Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (Rs. 4690.00,+2.40%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 393.40,+2.17%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3579.20,+1.13%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 7201.00,+1.13%),.



FMCG index was at 20804.64 down by -127.98 points or by -0.61%. Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (Rs. 1238.40,-2.42%), Mukka Proteins Ltd. (Rs. 28.10,-2.29%), Godfrey Phillips India Ltd. (Rs. 10199.55,-1.97%), Dabur India Ltd. (Rs. 534.30,-1.80%), Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd. (Rs. 111.25,-1.77%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3937 , shares advanced were 2146 while 1568 shares declined and 223 were unchanged.
