Sensex, Nifty firm; HCS, Realty stocks support

Domestic bourses continued to trade in green amid buying seen in index heavyweights Bajaj Finserv Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd. Reliance Industries Ltd. ICICI Bank Ltd Larsen & Toubro Ltd.among others.



At 14:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82078.99 up by 221.15 points or by 0.27 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25104.95 up by 54.4 points or by 0.22 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82231.17 and intraday low of 81921.22 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25153.65 and intraday low of 25054.9



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1983.25,+1.32%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 899.20,+1.30%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1429.10,+1.18%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1444.40,+0.99%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3618.70,+0.82%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 284.10,-1.47%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 322.25,-1.29%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 768.55,-1.25%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2646.05,-0.85%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1180.70,-0.79%), among others.



HCS index was at 44802.79 up by 305.56 points or by 0.69%. Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 2208.85,+4.43%), Orchid Pharma Ltd. (Rs. 789.20,+4.10%), Mankind Pharma Ltd. (Rs. 2605.15,+3.97%), Concord Biotech Ltd. (Rs. 1745.15,+3.09%), Cipla Ltd. (Rs. 1592.60,+3.02%),



Power index was at 6602.3 down by -52.47 points or by -0.79%. Suzlon Energy Ltd. (Rs. 58.40,-2.42%), JSW Energy Ltd. (Rs. 520.80,-2.09%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 284.15,-1.46%), NHPC Ltd. (Rs. 82.08,-0.94%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 339.00,-0.86%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4356 , shares advanced were 2245 while 1924 shares declined and 187 were unchanged.
