Mid-Session: Sensex, Nifty in green; Bajaj Finance, RIL top gainers

Indian benchmark indices extended gains for the sixth consecutive session on Thursday, marking their longest winning streak in more than two months.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82159.48 up by 301.64 points or by 0.37 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25096.25 up by 45.7 points or by 0.18 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82231.17 and intraday low of 81921.22 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25145.7 and intraday low of 25054.9



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 900.00,+1.39%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1981.90,+1.25%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1428.25,+1.12%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3620.40,+0.87%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1441.90,+0.81%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 767.85,-1.34%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 284.95,-1.18%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 338.35,-1.05%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1178.85,-0.95%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 324.00,-0.75%), among others.



Realty index was at 7166.95 up by 74.94 points or by 1.06%. Anant Raj Ltd. (Rs. 550.65,+2.29%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1535.45,+2.08%), Signatureglobal (India) Ltd. (Rs. 1134.10,+1.84%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2073.00,+1.56%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1313.65,+1.10%),.



Power index was at 6617.24 down by -37.53 points or by -0.56%. JSW Energy Ltd. (Rs. 523.60,-1.56%), Suzlon Energy Ltd. (Rs. 59.11,-1.24%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 284.95,-1.18%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 338.35,-1.05%), NHPC Ltd. (Rs. 82.42,-0.53%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4229 , shares advanced were 2305 while 1710 shares declined and 214 were unchanged.
