The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the period of directions imposed on The Gujarat Rajya Karmachari Co-operative Bank Ltd., Ahmedabad, by another three months.
The directions, issued under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, were initially imposed for six months from March 11, 2026, until the close of business on September 11, 2026.
The RBI said it was satisfied that extending the directions was necessary in the public interest. Accordingly, the directions have been extended from the close of business on September 11, 2026, until the close of business on December 11, 2026, subject to review.
All other terms and conditions of the existing directions will remain unchanged.
