Tata Motors’ August commercial vehicle sales jump 49% to 44,411 units

Tata Motors reported a 49 per cent year-on-year increase in total commercial vehicle sales to 44,411 units in August 2026, compared with 29,863 units sold in the same month last year.

Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose 33 per cent to 36,619 units, up from 27,481 units in August 2025, the company said in a statement.

The company’s international business recorded a sharp increase in volumes, with sales reaching 7,792 units, compared with 2,382 units a year earlier. This represents a 227 per cent year-on-year growth in international commercial vehicle sales.
