Power Grid Corpn. Q1 net profit down 6.63% at Rs 3410.95 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 3,410.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 as compared to Rs 3653.23 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 6.63 per cent.

Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 1.34 per cent at Rs 9,795.40 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 9,928.23 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During April-June quarter, operating expenses dropped by 6.98 per cent to Rs 1,683.98 crore from Rs 1,810.41 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 18.51 per cent at Rs 1,574.64 crore versus (Jun'25 Rs 1,328.65 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 0.08 per cent to Rs 8,111.42 crore as against Rs 8,117.82 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 1.27 per cent in June quarter.

Interest grew by 9.13 per cent y-o-y to Rs 2,514.78 crore, while Taxation decreased by 0.59 per cent at Rs 729.00 crore (Jun'25 Rs 733.32 crore).
