L&T Bags major EPC order from Kuwait Oil Company

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the development of Jurassic Light Oil (JLO) export facilities and the upgrade of Kuwait's existing crude oil export network.

The project includes the construction of six new crude oil storage tanks, each with an operating capacity of 618,000 barrels, along with associated facilities on a lump-sum turnkey basis. The scope also covers the installation of new pipelines and the modernization of the existing crude loading and export infrastructure to support higher production and improve Kuwait's crude handling capabilities.

L&T said the order reinforces its strong position in the global oil and gas EPC sector and reflects customer confidence in its ability to execute large and complex hydrocarbon projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The company added that the project aligns with Kuwait's efforts to strengthen its energy infrastructure, while further expanding L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore's global portfolio in the upstream, midstream, and downstream hydrocarbon segments.
