C. P. Radhakrishnan has congratulated Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister, describing the achievement as a historic milestone in the nation's democratic journey.
In a message shared on social media, the Vice-President said the milestone reflects a transformative period in India's development, marked by significant progress in economic growth, infrastructure development, social empowerment, and technological advancement. He also noted that India's enhanced global standing and renewed civilizational confidence have been key features of this era.
Highlighting the government's focus on inclusive development, the Vice-President stated that more than 25 crore people have been lifted out of absolute poverty, creating new opportunities and improving living standards for millions of families across the country.
He also praised the Prime Minister's efforts to preserve and promote India's cultural and civilizational heritage through initiatives aimed at honouring forgotten heroes, celebrating the country's linguistic and cultural diversity, safeguarding heritage assets, and fostering a stronger sense of national identity.
Referring to Prime Minister Modi's use of the Tamil phrase "Yaadhum Oore, Yaavarum Kelir" at the United Nations, the Vice-President said it reflected India's enduring philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam", emphasizing universal brotherhood and global unity.
The Vice-President further highlighted initiatives such as the Kashi Tamil Sangamam, Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam, the installation of the Sengol in the new Parliament building, and efforts to repatriate valuable artefacts and antiquities to India.
Describing Prime Minister Modi as a leader who has strengthened confidence in India's capabilities through visionary leadership and dedicated public service, the Vice-President said his leadership continues to inspire millions as the nation advances toward the goal of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
He extended his best wishes to the Prime Minister for his continued service to the nation.
