Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation on the occasion of National Technology Day, recalling with pride the successful Pokhran nuclear tests conducted in 1998.

The Prime Minister said the landmark event showcased India’s scientific excellence and unwavering commitment, while praising the dedication and hard work of Indian scientists who made the achievement possible. He described the scientists as the true architects of the nation’s pride and self-respect.

Highlighting the growing importance of technology, the Prime Minister stated that it has become a key pillar in building a self-reliant India. He noted that technology is driving innovation, creating opportunities, and contributing significantly to the country’s growth across multiple sectors.

Shri Modi further emphasised that the government remains focused on nurturing talent, promoting research, and developing solutions that support both national progress and the aspirations of citizens.

Referring to the historic Pokhran nuclear tests, the Prime Minister said the achievement introduced the world to India’s remarkable scientific and technological capabilities.
