Uttam Sugar Mills posts Q2 net profit of Rs 1.48 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 1.48 crore compared to net loss of Rs 15.63 crore in the previous year quarter.

Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 45.12 per cent at Rs 559.77 crore in July-September quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 385.73 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During July-September quarter, operating expenses increased by 40.37 per cent to Rs 536.35 crore from Rs 382.09 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 30.43 per cent at Rs 1.50 crore versus (Sep'24 Rs 1.15 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 543.41 per cent to Rs 23.42 crore as against Rs 3.64 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 344.68 per cent in September quarter.

Interest declined by 0.09 per cent y-o-y to Rs 11.12 crore, while Taxation increased by 150.29 per cent at Rs 0.86 crore (Sep'24 Rs -1.71 crore).
